Social Media Specialist

Energy Texas is a Houston-based Retail Electric Provider with a focus on building a residential customer base in emerging deregulated energy markets, beginning with the Texas electricity market. The company was founded in May of 2021 and is a rapidly growing, well-funded early-stage business. We are seeking energetic, hardworking candidates with a desire to experience, learn and contribute in a start-up culture involving the ecommerce, energy, and marketing fields.

Energy Texas is looking for a Social Media Specialist to be responsible for creating, maintaining, and growing the brands presence in social media by executing strategies and tactics that create engagement, build brand presence & drive website traffic & sales.

Responsibilities:

Organic Social Media Management

  • Responsible for the planning & execution of social media organic content for Energy Texas
  • Create unique, high engagement campaigns & content to create a 'brand' community
  • Manage content calendar for FB, Insta, LinkedIN, Yelp, GMB
  • Create content via design tools & available marketing collateral
  • Develop and manage an optimal posting schedule and schedule all content
  • Stay current on social media development including new platforms, trends; formulating proposals regarding to the executive team for consideration

Paid Social Advertising

  • Implement paid social strategies and tactics, including brand building and conversion driving initiatives, campaign budget, best practices to accelerate performance and identification of new opportunities.
  • Manage ad creation, set-up, launch, measure, and optimize ad campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter; potentially Pinterest, Snapchat and Tik Tok.
  • Apply optimization best practices to meet and exceed KPIs/goals (pacing, bid and budget strategies, creative testing frameworks, audience curation, etc.)
  • Collaborate on ways to improve the business results of social media; stay informed of latest trends and translate those trends into acquisition driving campaigns

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-3 years of social marketing experience with a focus in organic social media execution & paid social advertising 
  • Familiarity with social media platforms; monitoring and analytic platforms such as Google Analytics
